Textiles Department Staff
  • Mrs Margaret Maunder - Head of Department
Mrs Maunder started her career at Heathside School where she rose to Head of Curriculum for Art and Design Technology. After 16 years she moved to the private sector and taught textiles at Cranleigh, and photography, graphics, art and textiles at St Catherines’ Twickenham. Recently she has built her own studio at home to further her own work. She has joined the school and brought a wealth of knowledge with her from her extensive career, which complements the excellent work already done within the department.

  • Mrs Sarah Noy
Mrs Noy began her career working for Zandra Rhodes, and then as a fashion buyer for two major retail companies. Ran her own interior design company on a part-time basis, whilst teaching adults at Further Education. She embarked on a PGCE several years ago as she found that teaching was so addictive!! Her passion is fabrics, colour and texture. She also finds that watching a student’s tentative idea evolve into a stunning art form is something that, as a teacher, she never tires of! Mrs Noy enjoys the great outdoors and can be regularly seen at Lasham and at Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expeditions. Outside school, she still takes an interest in interior design projects, loves her garden, and has a go at most sports!
