Culture Vultures is open to pupils, parents and staff who would like to sample an array of cultural activities. We usually leave school at 4.30 on a Friday evening, and return about 11.45pm and this makes for an exciting end to the week!
In a typical year we aim to see an art exhibition or two, visit the ballet and see some plays, including a performance at the Globe Theatre. In addition, we have enjoyed classical concerts and operas and even examined architecture by travelling up the tallest building in Western Europe, the Shard.
Other highlights have included Michael Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty, a radical and colourful production at Saddler’s Wells. The Pre-Raphaelite exhibition was also awe-inspiring as it brought together the largest number of pre-Raphaelite works of art ever! The Globe is always a popular destination and has become an annual event.
