Association Day and a Reunion for the Leavers of 2000-2010 took place at St Catherine’s on Sunday 11th September.
We commemorated two very important former members of our community in Chapel with the dedication of plaques in loving and grateful memory of Joy Lowe and Audrey Head.
The ‘noughties’ Reunion had been postponed from July and the later date allowed our most recent leavers to see the finished Auditorium in the Anniversary Halls. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed seeing and using the wonderful new facilities with alumnae netball taking place in the Sports Hall, family swimming in the pool (now attached to the whole complex) and some wonderful singing rehearsed and performed on the new stage. Outside on the sports field, the annual alumnae lacrosse match against the School’s first team was taking place – with victory going to the Old Girls this year!
Everyone came together for drinks and lunch in the Dining Room after which we enjoyed thought provoking and powerful presentations on Gap year voluntary work from recent leavers Anna Drummond, Jessica Martin, Fllorentyna D’Souza and Kerryn Kisbey-Green. All had been recipients of travel awards from the Old Girls’ Committee of the Association and full reports on their experiences will be published in the forthcoming School Magazine.
Please do consider joining us for Association Day next year - when all former pupils, staff and families of every generation will once again be warmly welcomed at St Catherine’s.
